Winword.exe Crashing

Hi guys, I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I posted on a few other forums about this, no one can figure it out.
A friend of mine's Microsoft Word continuously crashes with the "Word encountered an error and needs to close" message. She is running Windows XP Pro and has tried both Word 2002/XP and 2003.

Here's a little background on the problem:
I began happening out of the blue; nothing was updated, changed, installed, etc. It happens completely random. Sometimes Word can be running for 2 hours, then it will crash. Sometimes after a crash, at least 1 or 2 more follow within the next 20 minutes, and after that, it could be fine for hours. Occasionally, Word will just hang and I'll have to kill the process. I've tried every troubleshooting step I could find and that everyone offered, including reinstalling Windows. Everything is up to date as well.

I used Microsoft's ADPlus debugger program to save a few dumps from the program when it crashes and hangs. I'm hoping someone can take a look at them and maybe send me some sort of direction.

Hi ,
Can you tell us how have you collected the dumps ( command and the procedure ) ?, because there are many times that we endup examining the wrong dumps

I actually don't remember because it was so long ago, nor do I have the dumps available anymore. If you could tell me the proper procedure and software used for dumping properly, I would gladly do so and post it here.

Hi ,
I would rely on the adplus utility as it a thin script and does a great job,
you have an option to configure the adplus utility in crash or hang mode.
Please take a look at the utility .
